For the wrap

  • 4 slices Provolone cheese Can substitute with keto-friendly tortillas

  • 0.5 cup Crushed pork rinds
  • 0.33 cup Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked or regular
  • to taste Black pepper
  • 1 beaten Egg For brushing the roll-ups

Preparation of Filling

  • In a skillet, heat oil or butter over medium heat.
  • Add sliced pepper and onion with a pinch of salt; sauté until softened and golden.
  • Add the beef, let it brown for a minute, then stir to combine.
  • Season with garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.

Assembling the Roll-Ups

  • Lay out provolone slices slightly overlapping on parchment paper.
  • Spoon a line of the filling onto one edge of the cheese slices.
  • Roll them up gently like a burrito, seam side down.
  • For optional breading, brush with beaten egg, then roll in the breading mixture.

Cooking

  • For crisping, heat a skillet with oil and place roll-ups seam side down.
  • Alternatively, preheat air fryer to 375°F and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • If using an oven, preheat to 400°F and bake until golden and cheese is bubbly.
